Plenty to do in Donostia with the family on Saturdays this autumn

Donostia Saturdays 1In San Sebastian, Saturdays are synonymous with Haurtxokos. Haurtxokos are spaces for the smallest ones of the household with no lack of activities or fun. However, instead of just entertaining the young ones, a new program is now allowing the whole family to enjoy an assorted schedule with activities on Saturdays. The name of the program is ‘ Familiarekin jolasean’. This autumn you can spend Saturdays in a different way, and above all, together. So if you are planning to stay in our hotel by the beach in San Sebastian soon and come with the family, make sure to have a look at the activities program and prepare for quality time with the family. Interested in the program? Keep reading and we’ll tell you all the details so you do not miss even one more activity on Saturday.

The ‘Familiarekin jolasean’ program runs on Saturdays from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm throughout the year.Donostia Saturdays

The activities take place in the Haurtxokos of various districts of San Sebastian. Specifically, in Aiete, Amara, Bidebieta, Egia, Gros, Intxaurrondo and Martutene. Consult the agenda of activities of each location here.

Who can come?

The objective of this initiative is that children between 5 and 11 years old can enjoy leisure time with their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. That is why it is a program aimed for the whole family.

What type of activities?

The activities are very diverse and include workshops, championships, shows and much more. The programming for the fall of 2017 will show more details.

In October, with the autumn just beginning, the weather is still pleasant to enjoy outdoor activities. Therefore, among others, one of the activities is a healthy picnic in the park, ginkanas, games on the beach etc. Do not forget that at the end of the month Halloween will be celebrated and therefore there will be activities related to this feast such as making masks, monstrous cushions, scary candelabra and terrifying snacks.

In November, family cooking workshops, mime games, hairdressing workshops and even a giant goose play will take place! But there will also be room for creativity. In this way, participants will be able to reinvent their imagination with playing with dough, learning how to create scarves and also how to use recycled wallets.

In the month December the activities will reflect the Christmas atmospheres. The time will be right to make giant snowmen, Christmas pastes and also gifts to thank Olentzero and Mari Domingi. With many plans it is the best way to finish the year!

I hope you enjoy an unforgettable stay at our Hotel in Donostia!
