1. Pasaia Donibane

Pasaia Donibane is one of the most beautiful municipalities in Guipúzcoa. It stands out for its historical center full of colourful facades and its’ quiet taverns where you can sit and breathe the pure air. This small village is located on the slope of a mountain and has an atmosphere ideal for fishing that dazzles those who visit it. 2. Hernani

Hernani is located in the shelter of Mount Santa Barbara and represents an old town that has been declared to be a part of ‘’Bien de Interés Cultural’’.  Among its most emblematic monuments there are the parish church of San Juan Bautista, the City Hall building, the Humilladero de la Santa Cruz and the splendid Fagollaga bridge.  During your visit to Hernani, don’t  forget to pass by a cider house and enjoy this liquid delicacy.

3. Lezo

Lezo offers  equally for the tourists the sea and mountain, without forgetting its’ historical heritage. By walking through this small town, you will explore the basilica of Santo Cristo, the Town Hall, from the XVII century, as well as the numerous emblazoned houses, that is symbol of the municipality. Mount Jaizkibel offers variety of options for trekking routes in nature. One of the most popular routes is the one that links Lezo with Hondarribia.

4. Usurbil

Along with the towns of Hernani and Astigarraga, Usurbil is one of the municipalities with the strong  cider tradition of Basque Country. The lovers of this drink, can’t miss the opportunity to taste it in a such place as Usurbil.  The church of San Salvador is the main heritage there. It is also necessary to mention that the celebrations of San Esteban will occur soon, and will take place on the 3rd of August.

5. Errenteria

Located in the Oiartzun Valley, the municipality of Errenteria is a home to many historic buildings such as the Town Hall, the Church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the medieval tower-houses of Torrekua or Morrontxo. To enjoy nature, you can travel to the Fort of San Marcos, where you can engage in such activities as walking, cycling or even riding. Not far from Errenteria, there are megalithic routes that lead to enclaves that are as surprising as the caves of Aizpitarte start.
