1. Accompany the Via Crucis to Mount Urgull
In Donostia you will not find multitudinal processions, although some liturgical acts in specific places. One of the most emblematic events of the Holy Week in Donostia is the Via Crucis, which climbs Mount Urgull every Holy Friday. It is a very early morning tradition that takes place in an atmosphere of devotion. The route starts at the church of Santa María and ends at the Cristo de La Mota chapel on Mount Urgull.

2. Visit the steps of ancient processions
Several decades ago, San Sebastian did have a large agenda of processions. Although today the religious tradition during Holy Week is reserved for small acts that can be done by the different churches in the city, the good news is that some steps can be visited. For example, the aforementioned church of Santa María hosts the effigy of San Pedro Apóstol, which years ago left in procession. Also in the church of San Vicente it is possible to observe some steps.
3. Attends the representation of the Living Passion
On the night of Good Friday, there is no better corner in San Sebastian for traditional Easter enthusiasts than the neighborhood of Amara. From 9:00 pm, attendees will have the opportunity to attend an interesting representation of the Passion of Christ.
