3 activities to start 2018 in a sustainable and solidary way
After three weeks of celebrations, feasts, being in family and, in short, doing everything Christmas supposes, it is time to calm down. 2018 as started and this splendid year ahead of us needs to be filled of purposes. Which ones are yours? We’d like to start this year by proposing an escapade to San Sebastian. In our city, you will find a wide range of activities related to culture, art, history, leisure and fun. But, we also have activities related to sustainable development & solidarity, and nothing is better than to start January contributing to build a better world!

If shopping is one of your hobby, we have a plan that you will like. We are in the middle of the Sales period, one of the greatest consumption time of the year. What we propose is that you opt for a more responsible consumption, thanks to initiative such as Ekomercado, a second-hand market in which associations such Oxfam and Erasmus participate.
This day is dedicated to the collection and sale of fashion items. There is also a colloquium to raise awareness about this consumption alternative.
It takes place next Saturday, 13th of January in the Environmental Resource Centre of Cristina Enea.

2. Charity concert.
Again, the NGO Oxfam Intermón is behind this activity, to be held on Sunday, January 28 in the room Dabadaba (Mundaiz 8 street). It will be a charity concert to raise money for various projects that the organization has underway in East Africa.
It will be the second concert of this kind to takes place. On this occasion, the bands The Burns, The Last Jack, Nothing Box, Gardena and the singer Yon Figueroa will appear on stage. Each performance will last approximately between 45 minutes and 1 hour, between 17:00 and 23:00.
In addition, to liven up the activities, a small stand selling fair trade products such as chocolates, coffees and various snacks will be installed.

3. Basque Fair of Environmental Sustainability
Berdeago, the Basque Environmental Sustainability Fair, will celebrate its sixth edition on the 19th, 20th and 21st of January and on the 28th and 29th of the same month, in the town of Durango. The event will, once again, offer a space of reference in topics related to energy and responsible consumption. It will be done by more than fifty professionals who will exhibit their products from different sectors such as mobility, energy and housing, waste management, food, cosmetics, handicrafts and natural products. Of course, all these products have in common their commitment to sustainability.
